For the second consecutive season, Hinckley AFC will be at home to Highgate United in the Emirates FA Cup extra preliminary round.
The draws made for the early rounds of the FA competitions see AFC welcome Highgate to Kirkby Road at this stage once again, after a 3-1 win over the Midland League Premier side last season. The tie will take place on Saturday 2nd August.
The winners of that tie face a home match against last season’s step four play-off semi-finalists Long Eaton United a fortnight later.
In the Isuzu FA Vase, we will travel to former Midland League Division One rivals Pershore Town in the first round qualifying. Now in the Hellenic Premier Division, Pershore finished eighth at step five last season. That match will take place on Saturday 23rd August, with the winners facing either Chelmsley Town or Smethwick Rangers in the second qualifying round.
The draw for the FA Youth Cup has also been made. Hinckley will face a trip to Grantham Town in the preliminary round, in the week commencing 1st September. The winners of that tie will visit Ashby Ivanhoe or Stamford a fortnight later.
