Hinckley AFC picked up their first win of pre-season as a goal in each half earned a 2-0 win over Coventry Sphinx.
Hinckley continued preparations for the new campaign with an impressive win over their step four visitors at Kirkby Road.
In front of a good crowd of 189 for Hinckley’s first home friendly, Jared Bradshaw grabbed the opener, slotting home a penalty after Luke Jones was fouled in the box.
And Jones turned from provider to scorer in the second half, converting a right-wing cross from six yards.
Next, AFC visit Chelmsley Town on Monday evening in the third of seven matches before the start of the competitive campaign.
