After a week off due to the weather, Hinckley AFC are back at home this weekend for the visit of Heath Hayes in Division One.
Heavy snowfall put paid to last week’s match against Wednesfield so Joe Conneely’s side will have gone a fortnight without kicking a ball by the time tomorrow afternoon comes around.
Last time out saw a convincing second-half performance to earn a 6-2 win at Shawbury United, and while AFC are fifth it remains tight in the race for the play-offs.
A win would lift Hinckley up at least one place in the table entering the final month or so of the season.
And it starts a busy period for AFC who are likely to have matches every midweek between now and the end of the season.
Conneely said: “We’ve told the lads to enjoy that, embrace it and accept that nobody will play in every game.
“Some teams get to this stage and have nothing to play for, we’re still battling on two fronts and that’s exciting.
“If you’d offered me this position in the summer, especially after the Birstall friendly or a few weeks into the season, I’d have snapped your hand off.”

Standing in their way this weekend are Heath Hayes, who sit third from bottom and looking for points to avoid the possibility of relegation.
They’re just a point behind AFC Bridgnorth and two behind Smethwick Rangers, having picked up five wins and ten draws from their 33 matches.
They have picked up back-to-back 1-1 draws in the last two games, having also taken points off many of the top nine sides. AFC drew in September’s reverse fixture while they have also drawn with Dudley Town and Stapenhill, and beaten Coton Green. Former Stafford Rangers forward Nick Wellecomme is their leading scorer with 14.
