Fresh from last week’s first away win at Stapenhill, Hinckley AFC will look to back that up with another three points at Cradley Town this weekend.
Hinckley have had a rare midweek without a game since the 3-2 victory in East Staffordshire last week.
And it means Joe Conneely’s charges are going into the game in the West Midlands fresh and looking to make it back-to-back wins on the road.
They’ll aim to do it with a first competitive visit to Cradley Town – though the sides have met at Beeches View in a friendly before (pictured).
Cradley currently sit bottom of Division One with one win and three draws giving them six points so far.
But they have been competitive in most of their matches and only a series of narrow defeats and late goals have stopped them having a considerably higher total.
Hinckley only won the reverse fixture courtesy of a stoppage time Harry Walker-Donovan goal, while they only fell to league leaders Dudley Town in the same fashion in midweek. The other two sides in the top three, Bilston Town and Ashby Ivanhoe, also only edged past Cradley by one goal.
And their only win of the campaign so far came in their last home game as they beat Haughmond 2-0.
Remarkably, Cradley have played seven more games in Division One than Hinckley this season, 17 matches thus far to AFC’s ten.
And with this the first of six games between now and the end of October, Conneely’s side will be hoping for a string of wins to propel them up the table ahead of the winter.
Cradley play at Beeches View Avenue, Cradley, Halesowen, B63 2HB.
