Hinckley AFC face a quick turnaround after Saturday’s draw with their first away game of the new season at Chelmsley Town tonight.
AFC kicked off the campaign with two home 2-2 draws against Cadbury Athletic and most recently Uttoxeter Town.
Tonight, they go on the road for the first time to take on a Chelmsley side who picked up their first point of the campaign at the weekend, holding unbeaten Kirby Muxloe to a 1-1 draw.
And assistant manager Joe Conneely says they’re a good side who are capable of taking points off anyone. “It’s a tough league this year, it’ll be one of those years where teams take points off everyone.
“The 3G pitch should suit us and we’ll need to make sure the boys recover well from Saturday going into Monday.
“We’ll should get a couple back from injuries and suspension which will help because we’re a bit depleted at the minute, and it’ll be another tough game.”
Former Chelmsley striker Chris Lloyd plundered more than 50 goals for them five years ago, and got his Hinckley career off to a similar start with a brace on Saturday.
He’ll be hoping to continue that form and his impressive partnership with Luke Richards at his former club this evening.
