Hinckley AFC and Leicestershire rivals Kirby Muxloe are separated by just one place and two points going into tomorrow’s meeting at Ratby Lane, kick off 3pm.
The game will be AFC’s first outing in four weeks, since being beaten by the odd goal in five at Uttoxeter Town on 8th February.
Since then, Kirby have won two more league games to make it four Division One wins on the bounce and jump to eighth in the table, hot on Hinckley’s heels.
In total, they are unbeaten in five and have kept three clean sheets in that impressive run that has bumped them from lower mid-table into the top half.
But Courtney Belford’s side have two games in hand, and will extend the gap to five if they can win at Kirby in a repeat of the result from the reverse fixture in October.
That day, a Luke Richards hat-trick helped Hinckley to a 5-3 win at the Welfare Ground while Kirby’s Andre Williams also bagged a treble in an entertaining encounter.
They were three of Williams’ 11 goals this season, but George Bosworth has been their biggest threat in front of goal with 21. Adam Parry (nine) and Suleiman Nassor (eight) have also chipped in well.
Kirby play at Ratby Lane, Kirby Muxloe, Leicestershire, LE9 2AQ.
