Hinckley AFC have been handed home ties in the opening rounds of both the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Vase.
The draws for the early rounds were made this lunchtime with Hinckley drawn at home to Whitchurch Alport in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup. That tie will take place at Kirkby Road on Saturday 8th August at 3pm.
It’ll be our second meeting with Whitchurch, who finished 11th in the Midland League Premier Division last season, following our Midland League Cup final win at the Bescot Stadium in 2023.
The winners of that tie will be at home to either Sutton Coldfield Town or Coventry United a fortnight later in the preliminary round.
In the FA Vase, we have been handed a bye in the first round qualifying, meaning that we enter at the second round qualifying at home to Highgate United. That tie will be played on the weekend of 12th September at Kirkby Road.
It’s the fourth season in a row that we’ve been drawn to face Highgate in a cup competition – having faced them in the FA Cup in the previous two seasons, and in the Midland League Cup the year before that.
And in the FA Youth Cup, our Under 18s will start their campaign away top county rivals Anstey Nomads. That match will take place in the week commencing 31st August.
