Hinckley AFC can confirm the return of Jake Brown, who links back up with his former managers in re-joining his hometown club.
Brown, who is comfortable across the entirety of the frontline, brings more valuable experience to the Hinckley AFC changing room ahead of the new season beginning.
He played 18 times for Hinckley in 2019 during Courtney Belford’s first season in charge, mostly in midfield, where he chipped in with three goals after signing from NKF Burbage.
Since then, he has gone on to feature for Atherstone, where he worked with Ross Innes and Adam Davies, as well as Leicester Road, Ashby Ivanhoe and Lutterworth Town – but he is another Hinckley lad and becomes another member of the squad representing his local club.
Innes said: “Browny is someone we brought in during our time at Atherstone because we knew exactly what we were getting, a grafter, who can look after the ball, is willing to put his body on the line, and always performs consistently.
“Jake has never let us down, and he will bring a tonne of experience to our changing room.”
Jake added: “It is a real pleasure to be linking back up with Ross and Adam at Hinckley AFC. We had a very successful time together previously at Atherstone and I want to contribute to that at Hinckley.”
Welcome back, Jake!
