A prolific striker, Sam joined Hinckley AFC in shortly before Christmas 2015, but didn’t make his debut until the following February.
A Yorkshire lad, he was a young professional with Leeds United and Bradford City, playing in the Football League for the latter, before joining Halifax Town.
After his release from The Shay, he played for the likes of Ossett Albion and North Ferriby United in non-league.
After re-locating, his most prolific spell came with Stafford Town, when he scored more than sixty goals in a season for the then West Midlands Regional League side, and was courted by town rivals Stafford Rangers before joining Black Country Rangers.
Now in the army, he represents the army football team and has played against a team of FA Legends including Gareth Southgate and Paul Merson and at Hinckley will be ‘a different kind of striker to what we already have’, according to boss Carl Abbott.
