Hinckley AFC are excited to announce a brand new competition for everyone to look into their crystal balls, bottom of their tea cups or of course use their football knowledge and insight to predict the final standings of the upcoming Premier League!
Do you think you can predict how the Premier League will shape up this year? This Club Builder initiative will help club development plans, while giving you a chance to win a great prize!
How it works
Before midday on the day of the first game in the Premier League 2026/27 on 21st August, contact club director Ron Ashby with your prediction from Champions in 1st place to 20th by emailing ron@hinckleyafc.co.uk.
He’ll give you payment instructions and confirm back to you when funds are received and your entry validated. Each entry costs just £20 – that’s £1 for each side!
No entries will be accepted after midday on the day of the first match of the Premier League season when current champions Arsenal play newly promoted Coventry City, on Friday 21st August.
Points will be awarded for each position you predict as follows:
- For each exactly correct position, it’s 10 points.
- For each position +/- 1 place, it’s 5 points.
- For each position +/- 2 places, it’s 2 points.
- For positions in the Top 3 and Bottom 3, the points awarded are doubled, e.g. exact position in Top 3 or Bottom 3 is 20 points.
In the event of a tie in points total, the points score of your top 5 counts as a tie break; if still tied it’s then Top 10 and if tied after that it’s Top 15.
Each month, updates will be made available through our media channels showing who’s in the running to win one of the prizes, through to the final standings so you can track your progress!
It’s as simple as that and there’s no limit on the number of players, in fact the more the merrier. It’s all support for your community football club, so why not also get all your friends and family involved too? Prizes will be allocated after the final Premier League match of the season in these proportions:
- 1st Prize: 25% of total entry stakes
2nd Prize: 15% of total entry stakes
3rd Prize: 10% of total entry stakes
The remaining 50% will be retained by Hinckley AFC as part of the Club Builder initiatives, our new initiative which will be used to strengthen community bonds with social events for players, staff, and fans together, assist with Junior pitch maintenance and training equipment.
