Pegg stays on quest for 100 games

Likely to be our next player to reach the 100-appearance milestone, Chandler Pegg will also stay with Hinckley AFC for the new season.

Now gaining minutes at centre-back as well as up front, Pegg now has 93 games under his belt for Hinckley and his 52 goal tally is only bettered by Ryan Seal, Luke Richards and Lewis Rankin.

Seven of those came last season and he will remain with the club to edge closer to his hundredth game in 2026/27.

Joint boss Adam Davies said: “A huge part of our changing room returns in Chandler Pegg.

“Chan is still a young lad but he is so vastly experienced at this level he is an absolute asset to the team and in the dynamic of the group.

“Chan was incredibly unfortunate with injuries last year, which hampered his season, but when called upon in multiple roles he throws himself into it committed and with desire.

“Chan will be a key figure again, form and fitness will match his willingness to graft and do well, and with Chan, the goals follow.”

Pegg said: “I’m happy to be here for another season.

“I’ve been unlucky with injuries over my time here but I feel as if this season I will be back to the heights of my first season and doing what I love most which is scoring goals and winning football games.

“I have faith in the squad and the management to bring in who they believe is right to go one more this season. I can’t wait to get going.”

Welcome back, Chandler!
