Hinckley AFC and Stapenhill face off for the right to reach a League Cup semi-final in Monday’s last eight tie at Kirkby Road.
The last two Division One sides left in the tournament face each other knowing they stand a win away from a place in the last four.
They are also two of the league’s form sides – Hinckley having won six in a row in all competitions while Stapenhill have won five and drawn one of their last six league games.
Stapenhill’s most recent win came against Coventry Copsewood at the weekend, while they have also beaten Droitwich Spa in their impressive recent run. They sit seventh in the table, nine points back from the play-off places.
A win would put AFC into their first semi-final for seven years, the last one also coming in the League Cup against St Andrews. That year, Carl Abbott’s side reached the final before going down 2-1 to Alvechurch at the Bescot Stadium.
Hinckley beat Coventry Copsewood and Ingles to reach this stage, while the Swans also progressed against two Division One sides, beating Nuneaton Griff 3-2 and then Coton Green on penalties.
Hinckley won both league games between the sides 3-2 this season, edging two tight games at Kirkby Road in August and at Edge Hill in October.
The other quarter-finals, all taking place this week, see Stone Old Alleynians face Atherstone Town, Lye Town take on Stourport Swifts and Lichfield City visit Whitchurch Alport.
