Hinckley AFC have been awarded England Football Accredited status by the Football Association.
Formerly known as the FA Standard Charter, the accreditation scheme is open to all grassroots clubs and leagues. It aims to raise standards in the grassroots game through supporting the development of clubs and leagues, and also recognises and rewards commitment, quality and achievement.
The clubs and leagues who achieve England Football Accreditation demonstrate they offer well-run and sustainable football. They are proud to prioritise qualified coaching and safeguarding, as well as the values of The FA’s Respect programme as part of their game.
Hinckley Director Keith Hookham has worked hard on this over the past year, sorting documents and ensuring personal qualifications of all people in relevant roles at the club were in place.
Keith will continue to work on increasing the levels of safeguarding and role relevant qualifications in order to prepare for future regulations as we expect the FA’s safeguarding and medical requirements to be expanded further into the men’s game and throughout the National League System.
