Hinckley AFC are looking to make it three games without defeat when they welcome Stafford Town to the Welfare Ground, weather permitting.
The 3pm kick off is subject to the pitch passing a morning inspection at 11.30, with heavy rain forecast throughout the morning.
If the game does go ahead, AFC will be looking to follow up a 5-3 win over Kirby Muxloe in the last home game, backed up by a solid point on the road at in-form Studley last week.
With four goals in his last two, Luke Richards has found his goalscoring touch again but praise was high for the back four at Studley, with Greg Webb and Ky Green both impressing.
AFC now sit fifth, four points behind leaders Brocton and Uttoxeter Town in an increasingly tight top of the table.
Indeed, it’s an increasingly tight league this season where anyone can beat anyone, evidence by Stafford beating Hinckley back in August in one of just two wins for them.
The Reds are 18th in the table, two points ahead of bottom side Nuneaton Griff, while only Chelmsley Town have scored fewer goals.
But Tom Duffy and Queenton Manase have both netted four times for them, while Lenny Baker’s brace at Evans Park in the reverse fixture are two of his three strikes this term.
They’ll be looking to bounce back from a pair of local derby defeats to Rocester and Uttoxeter Town recently, should the game go ahead.
You’ll be able to catch the news of the inspection on our official channels later this morning.
