Versatile midfielder Bekir Halil has returned to Hinckley AFC as manager Courtney Belford has made his second signing of the summer.
The combative central player, who can also feature wide or in defence, becomes the second familiar face to return in time for next season, following Ty Belford’s arrival back at the club last week.
And Halil said it was an easy decision to come back to a club he’s made 31 appearances for in two previous spells.
He said: “It’s great to be back. I had a good relationship with the supporters during my previous spells and after a tough time last season they want to see people that care.
“For me it’s about playing for the club. I always wanted to come back but it was about the right manager coming in and the gaffer’s been a big influence in me wanting to come back now.”
Formerly of Wolves Casuals, he was part of the group that Carl Abbott originally assembled at Hinckley five years ago, and also featured under Dale Belford and Richard Lavery’s stewardship two seasons ago before moving onto pasteures new.
After leaving Hinckley in early 2018, he featured for Romulus and Westfields before spending the latter half of last season with Nuneaton Borough in the National League North.
