Hinckley AFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Courtney Belford as our new first team manager.
The 29-year-old is no stranger to the Midland League First Division, having spent a year in charge of Nuneaton Griff until stepping down last September.
During his time there he guided a Griff team, struggling when he took over, away from the relegation places to comfortable Division One survival with limited resources.
Belford, the son of former AFC boss Dale, also had a coaching spell at Romulus last season after leaving the Pingles Stadium.
On his appointment, Belford said: “It’s a very exciting opportunity for me.
“Hinckley’s a club I’ve always had an affiliation with, through my Dad and my brothers, and it’s a massive club for the level.
“It shows real faith in me and I want to give that back to the Board and the fans. This is a long term project and I want to make this a club you want to play for again.”
We’ll have a full interview with Courtney on our website over the weekend.
He hopes to be able to announce his assistant in the coming weeks, and says he already has an idea of players he would like to add.
Club chairman, Bryan White, said: “We had a good number of applications to be our new manager, many of which were of a high calibre.
“However, Courtney’s stood out and he really impressed us with his plans and vision for the club, and we are pleased to welcome him to the club.”
The club would like to thank everyone who applied for the role and we wish Courtney all the best at Hinckley AFC.
