Hinckley AFC will be looking to continue their unbeaten league start to 2018 when bottom side Coventry Alvis visit St John’s Park this evening.
Richard Lavery and Tom Cherry have steered the side to three wins and a draw during their four league games in charge, including that stunning second half turnaround against Ilkeston Town ten days ago.
But after Saturday’s postponement, AFC will now be looking to record back-to-back wins when Alvis head to SJP tonight.
Alvis are nine points adrift at the bottom of Division One, but ended a run of ten straight league defeats, all in which they failed to score, with an impressive 2-2 draw against Studley ten days ago.
Former Hinckley forward Michael Healy scored both of their goals that day in his second game back at the club from whom Hinckley signed him back in 2014.
For Hinckley, it’s a chance to make it five league games unbeaten, with Steve Hart and Luke Richards looking to add to their ever-impressive goal tallies which have helped AFC become the second best attack in the league on a goals-per-game basis.
There are no concerns around the condition of the pitch, so the game at St John’s Park is definitely on.
