After midweek cup success, Hinckley AFC return to league action with a first ever visit to Coton Green on Saturday.
Hinckley returned to winning ways with a 2-0 League Cup victory over Coventry Copsewood and now will look to back that up with a short trip up the A5.
Joe Conneely’s side are back in Division One action after a fortnight away, and will stay third in the table with a win.
They visit Tamworth-based Coton Green, who won at Kirkby Road just before Christmas in the only previous meeting of the two sides.
Matt Gardner scored the winner that day, and the former Hinckley forward is Coton’s leading marksman this season with 21. Ryan Conlon has chipped in with nine.
Helped by those goals, Coton sit in seventh in their debut season in Division One. They are seven points off the play-offs, albeit having played two games more than the two sides directly above them, and their ambition to make the top five has been strengthened this week by the signing of former Heather and Romulus striker Kieron Clarke.
They were on a five-match unbeaten run until one of those sides above them, Droitwich Spa, won 3-0 at their New Mill Lane home a fortnight ago.
Coton Green play at New Mill Lane, Fazeley, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B78 3RX.
