Hinckley AFC have secured our latest signing with the addition of goalscoring midfielder and local lad Fin Barker.
The highly rated midfielder carries the ball with real intent comfortably, and joins us after a number of years at Gresley Rovers, where he made it into double figures for goals last season.
He initially moved to the Moat Ground while they were at step four, and returned after a brief spell with Heather St John’s in 2024.
But is also a local lad, living in Hinckley, and joins Drew Kear and Gabe Webster in representing his hometown club.
Joint Manager Ross Innes said: “When you come into pre-season and the players you have already signed are commenting on the quality of another player, you know you have got one.
“Fin is effortless in how he carries the ball, and he sets and demands high standards which meets our requirements. He has a nasty streak in him as well which allows him to play on the edge, the fans who attend training especially will know the type of player we have signed.”
Barker added: “I’m very happy to have signed for Hinckley. The club’s got a great feel around it and I can’t wait for the season to get started.
“After meeting with Ad & Ross and having a few training sessions it was a no brainer.
“I hope to help the team create chances and score goals. I love to play exciting football and I think Hinckley is a perfect fit with a style of play that suits me. I’m looking forward to meeting all the fans!”
Welcome to Hinckley, Fin!
