Hinckley AFC can announce the nominations for election to the Board of Directors, at the club’s 2025 AGM.
The elected Directors due to stand down by rotation, according to the club constitution, are Keith Hookham, Bryan White and David Gunn. All three have been nominated to stand for re-election to the board, and they will be joined by new candidate Daniel Haydon.
As there are fewer candidates than vacancies available, as per the club’s election policy, a ballot will not be required and candidates will be elected by members present at the AGM.
Bryan White has been our Club Chairperson since 2019 and has followed football in Hinckley since the days of Hinckley Athletic. He was a member of the working group that formed the club and was one of the founding board members in 2014. In recent seasons he has overseen the club’s move to Ibstock and then to Barwell, contributing massively to creating the platform for the club to gain promotion to step 5.
Keith Hookham has been a long-term member of the board and many will know him from his role as steward at the players tunnel, standing there in all weathers on a matchday. Away from matchday, Keith is the secretary for our Under 18s side and handles all the administration for our pathway team. Added to that is one of the many unseen duties of a non-league director, transporting players’ kit and equipment to all home and away matches, assisting with the set up and cleaning down of the changing room on a matchday.
David Gunn is a Hinckley football legend as well as being a long-term member of the club’s board. ‘Gunny’ has been involved with Hinckley football for over 50 years and even now almost into his 70s Dave is still helping out on the pitch for matchdays and training.
New nominee Daniel Haydon has been involved in local football for a number of years and has been a driving force in raising the profile of local women’s football, being involved with Hinckley Ladies FC.
His statement reads as follows:
I have come from a Ladies Football background and want to help Hinckley AFC grow further within the local community. I am willing to help when needed on matchdays or at other times, and looking forward to assisting the club in any way possible to move it forward on and off the pitch.
The club’s Annual General Meeting takes place on Wednesday 21st January 2026. It will take place at the New Plough Inn, 24 Leicester Road, Hinckley, LE10 1LS, with an 8pm start.
