Hinckley AFC are delighted to confirm the re-signing of right-back Drew Kear.
Kear, who played against Hinckley a couple of weeks ago for Leicester Nirvana, has been at our league rivals for most of this season on dual registration from Barwell.
Having come through the Strachan Foundation, he made his breakthrough in senior football with Hinckley, scoring on debut against Cadbury Athletic in 2020, and went on to play a key role in our United Counties Division One play-off campaign the following season.
An attack-minded full-back, he scored four times in 40 times for Hinckley, including memorably netting the winner away at Kimberley Miners Welfare, and contributed a number of assists in our FA Vase record-breaking 18-0 win at St Martins.
Having joined Rugby Town in 2022, he helped them to promotion from the United Counties Premier South the following season, before a brief spell back with Hinckley in our promotion-winning campaign.
After a season at step four with Leicester Road, he joined Barwell in the summer and subsequently linked up with Nirvana to get more game time.
