Hinckley AFC are delighted to confirm the signing of former Hereford and Coventry United midfielder Chris Camwell.
The 22-year-old joins from Coventry United having scored three goals in nine appearances for them this season. That was his second spell at the club after re-joining from Hereford in the summer.
He also played in last season’s FA Trophy final for the Bulls at Wembley, in which he set up their opening goal.
It was part of a successful time with the National League North club, after joining them from Coventry United a year earlier.
Manager Courtney Belford called him a “fantastic signing for the club.”
Camwell joined the Coventry City academy at the age of nine, and made his League One debut for the Sky Blues as an eighteen-year-old. He also signed a professional contract with the Ricoh Arena outfit.
He then spent time on loan in the National League with Solihull Moors before dropping into non-league upon his release.
The versatile left-footer can also play on the wing or at left back.
Going the other way is centre back Brandon Hallmark, who joins Rugby Borough. The powerful defender made ten appearances this season but has opted to join a side closer to home. We wish Brandon all the best for the future.
Meanwhile, young striker Joel Heeley has dual registered with Coventrians to ensure he gets more regular game time. He’ll spend a month at the Midland League Division Three side.
Welcome to Hinckley, Chris!
