A technically gifted player, Lewis Rankin was on the books at Coventry City as a youngster and has played most of his senior football at steps four and five.
Having initially joined Rugby Town upon his release from the Sky Blues, from there he featured in the Midland League Premier Division for the likes of Coventry Sphinx (11 goals in 31 games), Highgate (nine goals in 12 games) and Coventry United (13 in 36).
He also featured at higher levels for Chasetown and Brackley Town before moving back to Rugby two seasons ago, where he scored 22 times as they finished third in the United Counties Premier.
That was enough to earn him a move to Nuneaton Borough – from where he moved to Coleshill and spent just over a season there before linking up with Hinckley.
He is now the club’s longest serving player, and the Division One title-winning season, in which he joint-top scored with 22 goals and won the Managers’ Player of the Year award, was, by his own admission, his best in a Hinckley shirt.
