Hinckley AFC go in search of a second straight win when Paget Rangers visit Kirkby Road tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
AFC soared up the table with Tuesday’s comfortable 3-0 win over Stafford Town in which stunning individual strikes from Chris Lloyd and Tom Weale helped them to an important three points.
And manager Courtney Belford was pleased that his side put together a 90 minute performance for the first time: “It was the first time this season that we’ve been consistent over 90 minutes.
“We’ve had good halves so far, we did better in the second half against Lichfield after a poor first half, but Tuesday night was a 90 minute performance and that’s what we’ve been striving for so far.”
You can read more from Courtney in our matchday programme, available for £1.50 from just inside the turnstiles.
This weekend, the visitors are a Paget side who have had a mixed bag of results so far, a couple of fine wins, including FA Vase progress and a victory over Atherstone Town, combined with some heavy defeats such as a 7-0 loss to Uttoxeter Town.
It leaves them in 16th place going into the weekend with two wins and five defeats from their seven games, but the tight nature of the league means they are just two points behind AFC in seventh.
We are aware of the horrendous weather forecast over the next 24-36 hours, and will post news of any pitch inspection or postponement on our social media pages as soon as we know.
