Manager John Ramshaw wants his Hinckley AFC side to finish the season on a high, starting with the visit of Uttoxeter Town tomorrow afternoon.
AFC have five games remaining of a season which has proved challenging, and Ramshaw is targeting that win which has proved elusive in recent weeks.
He said: “Uttoxeter are a good young side who play good football – like ourselves in many respects.
“Our game against Rocester the other week was similar, they are another young side, and that produced a good game of football – hopefully this game will be the same but with an improved result and an important three points.”
And after fielding an extremely young side at Cadbury last week, Ramshaw hopes to have at least one of his more senior players back against Uttoxeter.
“We had a few players missing last week, but Grant Ryan should be back with us after his sickness bug kept him out at Cadbury.
“Jean Dakouri has a knee problem which we’re going to have to monitor, and likewise Yinka Adebowale with his ankle. We’ll have to see how they progress and that’ll determine whether they feature.”
The reverse fixture at Oldfields back in October was a goalless draw – the only such result in AFC’s league history.
And seventh-placed Uttoxeter have had some impressive results this campaign, but suffered a surprise defeat to Heath Hayes last week having taken a point from Atherstone the week before.
