Hinckley AFC have added more midfield depth to the squad with the signing of Matty Brown from Leicester Nirvana.
Part of the Nirvana side that won at Kirkby Road in March, Brown was on the books at West Brom until the age of 16 before making his foray into non-league with a host of Leicestershire clubs including Saffron Dynamo, Ingles, St Andrews, Desborough Town and Ashby Ivanhoe.
But it was with Nirvana where he spent plenty of his time over the last three seasons, featuring 21 times for them in the United Counties Premier South following a brief stint with Birstall United.
Joint Manager Ross Innes said: “Matty ran the show against us at home in a complete display, first to every ball with aggression, but then with a real eye for a pass and quality technical ability to execute it.
“He will bring a real presence to us on the field, but is also a brilliant lad off it, which goes a long long way.”
Brown added: “I’m delighted to be joining Hinckley and can’t wait to get started. It’s an exciting opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to working under Adam and Ross this season.
“I’m ready for the challenge ahead and excited to play my part as we prepare for the new season. Most of all, I’m looking forward to connecting with the fans, giving everything for the badge, and showing everyone what I can do on the pitch.
“Bring on the new season!”
Welcome to Hinckley, Matty!
