Hinckley Community Lottery to close next month

Hinckley AFC can confirm that the Hinckley Community Lottery will close next month – but at least £3000 will be won before it ends!

Since the football club started, our lottery has been a wonderful way to support Hinckley AFC, bringing in a regular monthly income for the club. However, in the 12 years we have been running the competition, the membership has not increased sufficiently to keep it viable.

The Supporters’ Group 100 club draw has proved to be more popular with our fans, and so we have decided to bring the Hinckley Community Lottery to a close. We urge all Lottery players, should they still wish to enter a competition that helps fund the club, to join as a member of the 100 Club. Contact Zoe Measom or Lee Sharrard for further details.

Grand Finale

Before that – we want our lottery to go out with a bang! To celebrate our incredible community club, should the main jackpot not be won before then, we’re turning the final draw on 30th May 2026 into a Grand Finale event featuring three guaranteed big winners.

Unless the main jackpot is claimed, we’ll be awarding first, second, and third-place prizes. The final prize pot, including a first prize of approximately £3000, will be officially announced once the final prize fund is known. Make sure your lines are in by then to be part of our biggest draw yet!

What happens next?

1.     The Final Draw: This will take place on 30th May 2026.

2.     Existing Members: All your current entries will be automatically entered into this final bumper draw. For example, if you have four lines in the lottery you will get four entries into the final draw, if you have two lines in the lottery you will get two entries into the final draw.

3.     Subscriptions: All Direct Debits will be cancelled by the Club after the final month’s payment has been taken in May 2026. All players who pay by standing order will need to cancel it with their bank after the final month’s payment has been taken in May 2026. The players who have paid in cash will be refunded any stakes paid that would take them past the final May draw.

Final Draw Terms & Conditions

Please note the following regarding the closure of Hinckley Community Lottery:

Final Draw Date: The final draw will take place on May 30, 2026. No further Lottery draws will occur after this date.

Prize Distribution: The total prize fund is guaranteed to be awarded in full during the 30th May draw across three prizes as long as the full jackpot is not won beforehand.

New Entries: As the lottery is based on a monthly payment and there are 5 draws scheduled for May, new membership purchases for the Grand Finale will cost £5 and must be completed by April 20th to be included in May lottery draws.

Cancellations: If you pay via standing order, please ensure you cancel your instruction with your bank immediately following the May draw. Hinckley AFC cannot be held responsible for payments received after the lottery has officially closed.

Prizes: Winners will be notified via Email/Phone by 02/06/2026. Any prizes unclaimed after 30 days will be donated to Hinckley AFC, in accordance with our licensing guidelines.

Regulatory Compliance: This closure is in accordance with the Small Society Lottery registration held by Hinckley AFC, regulated under Schedule 11, Part 4 of the Gambling Act 2005, and conducted under advice taken from the Licensing Authority.
