Hinckley AFC face a midweek local derby as we make the short journey to Aylestone Park for our re-arranged United Counties Premier South match on Tuesday night.
Just under a month after the initial match between the sides was abandoned after eight minutes due to a medical emergency, the sides will go again at Saffron Lane.
Having not played on Saturday, Hinckley have had chance to recover from conceding a stoppage-time equaliser at Histon last time out in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
And a win for AFC would lift them back into the final play-off spot, ahead of welcoming third-placed Rugby Borough to Kirkby Road on Saturday.
The opposition
Dubbed by many as pre-season title favourites, Aylestone are still in the race heading into the final six weeks of the season. They are eight points behind leaders St Neots Town, but should they beat Hinckley with their game in hand then that gap would close to five.
After a run of two wins in six, Aylestone have now put that blip behind them having won each of their last three games by a combined margin of 11-1.
Having already added former Boston United forward Gregg Smith in February, they also brought in ex-Harborough midfielder Joel Carta on Saturday as they won at Easington Sports.
They have both the second-best attack and the second-best defence in the league, with Sam Hollis their top scorer on 25.
