A first-half blitz of three goals inside the opening 15 minutes helped Hinckley AFC on the way to their biggest win as a step five club as they put five past Leicester Nirvana.
Brady Middleton started and finished the scoring as he netted a hat-trick, while the impressive Oli Szymanski and accomplished debutant Jasper Tetlow also got on the scoresheet as Hinckley extended their unbeaten home run to six games.
Hinckley were missing a host of players, Lewis Rankin and Adam Barber the latest additions to the unavailability list, with Tetlow and Brad Burton making debuts after coming in on dual registration from Quorn and Redditch respectively.
In the balmy autumn sunshine, Hinckley started brightly and took the lead after just seven minutes when Luke Jones picked out Middleton, who got the wrong side of his man and picked his spot in the corner.
Just four minutes later it was two – Bryan Kohyrelon’s weaving run ended with a shot deflected wide, but from the resulting corner Tetlow flicked on Jared Bradshaw’s delivery and Szymanski stole in at the far post to finish.
Tetlow then turned scorer before the cheers had died down, heading home a wide free kick to make it three.
It was a scintillating opening salvo from Hinckley and it set them well on their way to another home win.
Ky Green had to be alert to clear off the line from Mussa Bham, but that came against the run of play and Hinckley quickly resumed their control.
Set pieces continued to do much of the damage, and another saw Hinckley get a fourth goal just past the half hour. Ky Green headed a free kick back across goal, and his header was destined for the net but Middleton made doubly sure by tapping home on the line for his second of the afternoon.
The only time Hinckley lost control was in first half stoppage time, and it cost them a first clean sheet of the season. Nirvana pulled one back when Jorrin John latched onto a long ball and finished well, and they nearly grabbed a second but Bham dragged narrowly wide of the near post after being set up by John.
The second half was almost a non-event as Hinckley managed the game well, restricting any chances Nirvana had of closing the gap.
And they added a fifth with 14 minutes to play, Brad Burton was brought down in the box and Middleton sent Jake Williams the wrong way from the spot to secure the matchball and send Hinckley to a third straight win at Kirkby Road.
