Evans, Davoile and Middleton extend Hinckley stays

Midfield duo Zaki Evans and Riley Davoile and last season’s joint-top scorer Brady Middleton will remain with Hinckley AFC for the new season.

The trio both helped AFC to the Midland League Division One title last season and will be back at Kirkby Road for the United Counties Premier South campaign this time around.

Evans, who signed last summer, battled a couple of injuries last term to play 24 times in his maiden season at Hinckley.

His two goals both came in the same game, the thrilling Senior Cup tie against Birstall United, with his first an absolute rocket from 30 yards – though he did also score in the abandoned league match at Wolves Sporting.

Meanwhile, Davoile joined in December but has experience of the United Counties Premier South having captained Coventry United in the division two seasons ago.

He played 18 times after signing and scored four goals, twice against Wolves Sporting including a dramatic stoppage-time winner, and twice again against Bilston Town in our final home game of the season.

22-goal Middleton shared the club’s golden boot with Lewis Rankin last season, and is back again for another season.

The experience forward grabbed a goal and a hat-trick of assists in his first game back with the club, adding 21 more goals by the end of February before battling injury through the final couple of months.

You can sponsor Zaki, Riley or Brady for just £50 for the entire 2024/25 season, getting your name or business alongside theirs in each home league matchday programme and on the club website. To sponsor a player, contact Mark Langley on a matchday or email mark@hinckleyafc.co.uk.

Welcome back, Zaki and Riley!
