Hinckley AFC have been drawn at home to Highgate United in the Emirates FA Cup extra preliminary round after draws for the early rounds of FA competitions were made this lunchtime.
A rematch of our final game of last season, a 0-0 draw with Highgate in the Midland League Cup semi-final before losing on penalties, Highgate will visit Kirkby Road in early August as Hinckley return to the FA Cup after a year away.
Now under new management of Alfie Marsden and Malc Ward after the departure of Terry Anderson and a number of players, Highgate will head into their 10th straight season in the Midland League Premier Division this term.
The match will take place on Saturday 3rd August, with the winners taking on either step four outfit Malvern Town or step five side Hereford Pegasus a fortnight later.
In the FA Vase, Hinckley have been handed a bye in the first round qualifying. AFC enter in the second round qualifying, with a visit to step six outfit FC Stratford.
They finished seventh in the Hellenic League Division One last season and groundshare with Stratford Town, with the tie scheduled for the weekend of 21st September.
Our youth team will be away to Leicester Nirvana in the FA Youth Cup in the week commencing 12th August. The winners of that tie will be away to Coalville Town.
