Hinckley AFC continued their winning start to pre-season with a third straight win, this the most impressive of the trio away to higher level Quorn.
After beating fellow step six sides Heather St John’s and Birstall United, this time Hinckley stepped it up a gear to come from behind and beat a side from two leagues higher.
After going behind early on to Tyrell Shannon-Lewis’ goal, Hinckley responded well and grew into the game as it progressed.
Harry Walker-Donovan was denied a leveller by home ‘keeper Ben Heath late in the first half, but he did get his reward ten minutes into the second period with a powerful strike from just inside the box.
And with 11 minutes to play, Tom Parker netted the winner as he took advantage of hesitant defending to nip in and loft over Heath.
Nearly at the midway point of their friendly schedule, Hinckley visit Quorn’s new league rivals Coleshill Town on Tuesday evening to look for a fourth victory.
