It’s take three for Hinckley AFC’s Midland League Cup tie against Coventry Copsewood with the tie now switched to Kirkby Road on Monday evening.
Hinckley enter their final cup competition of the season with the visit of Copsewood on Monday as they make the short journey up the M69.
After mixed fortunes in cup competitions so far, AFC’s final chance at a long run now starts at home as Joe Conneely welcomes his former side.
The tie was originally scheduled to be away, but two postponements mean it has been switched to a Hinckley home game.
Both Hinckley and Copsewood were handed byes into this second round stage and will be looking to reach the third round as the competition returns for the first time since pre-covid.
The likes of Atherstone Town, Lichfield City and Stourport Swifts are already through to round three with a number of other ties still to be played. The third round draw is yet to take place.
Hinckley won the previous meeting between the sides 9-0 in November but Copsewood have started the new year strongly. They have notched up a win and a draw so far in 2023, beating Chelmsley Town before a stalemate with Wednesfield. Their match against Cradley at the weekend, like last week’s attempt at the League Cup tie, fell foul to the weather.
