Hinckley AFC can announce the nominations for election to the Board of Directors, at the club’s 2022 AGM.
Current directors stepping down according to the club’s rules of rotation are Keith Hookham, Bryan White and David Gunn. All three have been nominated to stand for re-election to the board. They will be joined by new candidate Robert Weale who has also put himself forward for election.
As there are fewer candidates than vacancies available, as per the club’s election policy, a ballot will not be required and candidates will be elected by members present at the AGM.
Robert Weale has been a volunteer at the club for the past few seasons taking on the role of Matchday Secretary, dealing with the organisation of matches behind the scenes. He has a wealth of experience at this level having previously been Chairman at Atherstone Town and Secretary with Coleshill Town.
His statement reads as follows:
After spending the last two season as Matchday Secretary I have felt more welcome than at any other club I have been associated with. Therefore feel comfortable committing my future loyalty to support Hinckley AFC.
I bring a good amount of experience of football and believe I have shown the required amount of commitment to help the club wherever needed. I leave the decision with the Members and hope to be joining you in a more official capacity in the future.
The club’s Annual General Meeting takes place on Tuesday 24th January 2023. It will be held at the New Plough Inn, 24 Leicester Rd, Hinckley LE10 1LS, with an 8.30pm start.
