Hinckley AFC and Droitwich Spa go into Saturday’s Midland League Division One clash with identical league records this season.
Both sides, new into the league this season, have had solid starts to the season and are in touching distance of the play-offs with games in hand on everyone above them.
The two teams have played the joint-fewest games in Division One, winning ten and drawing two of their 17 league encounters. Both are two points behind fifth placed Nuneaton Griff with two games in hand.
Even the goal records have been similar – Droitwich have scored three more and conceded two more, meaning they sit higher in the table by virtue a one better goal difference.
They beat Ingles 2-0 in their last league game, before going down to the same scoreline against Premier Division side Studley in the League Cup in midweek.
James Lemon got both goals in that victory over Ingles, and he is their leading scorer on 11. Ex-Bromsgrove man Connor Collins has seven. Cory Rudd was sent off in that game though, and will miss this one through suspension.
Hinckley, meanwhile, could have a debut to new signing Harrison James while Danny Fraser could make his first appearance at Kirkby Road after playing in the last two away matches.
With some sides in cup action this weekend, a win for either side will move them up to sixth place.
