Hinckley AFC begin a three-match spell away from league action with a Leicestershire Senior Cup trip to Ashby Ivanhoe on Tuesday evening.
AFC’s attention turns to three different cup competitions in the space of a week, with three away ties on the horizon in eight days.
That run starts at league rivals Ashby as Hinckley head to Lower Packington Lane for the second time already this season.
The first visit yielded a 3-1 defeat – AFC’s last away loss at the start of October – but two days afterwards came the 4-1 first round win over ProChance that meant Hinckley reached this stage of the Senior Cup.
Ashby, meanwhile, were given a bye to this stage and thus are into this competition for the first time this campaign.
Andy Gray’s side notched up their seventh straight home win against Cradley Town on Saturday. They’ve conceded just three goals in those seven games, one of which was Jack Edwards’ early opener for Hinckley in the corresponding league fixture.
The winners of the tie will progress to the quarter-finals and look to continue their quest to become the first winners of this competition since 2019.
Ashby play at the NFU Sports Ground, Lower Packington Lane, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, LE65 1TS.
