Hinckley AFC face their first of two Leicestershire derbies inside three days with a Midland League Division One visit to Ashby Ivanhoe on Saturday.
Just over 48 hours before a Leicestershire Senior Cup tie against ProChance, AFC visit Ashby targeting a third straight win.
But to back up Monday’s excellent 6-1 home win over Chelmsley Town, Hinckley must turn around their stuttering away form which has yielded just two points from four games so far.
This weekend, Joe Conneely’s side visit an Ashby side who have started well following their play-off semi-final defeat last season.
Ivanhoe possess the league’s leading marksman in 12-goal Sam Grouse, but he will sit out this game as the final match of a three-game suspension.
That sending off came in their 4-0 reverse against Coton Green, their only defeat of the season so far, and came so early that Ivanhoe had to play 75 minutes with ten men.
They looked like having a second defeat in midweek, but salvaged a late 2-2 draw at Wolves Sporting to stay third in the Division One table.
They have been two rare blots on Ashby’s copybook so far, with six league wins from 11 games coupled with progression to the first round of the FA Vase. Two of their four draws came away to sides above them in the table, Dudley Town and Bilston Town.
Ashby play at the NFU Sports Ground, Lower Packington Lane, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, LE65 1TS.
