Match Preview: Wednesfield (a)

Hinckley AFC will target a fifth straight win when they make a first ever visit to Wednesfield tomorrow.

After two early defeats, one each in league and cup, AFC have put four wins together to put a positive spin on the opening month of the season.

They sit tenth in the table but have played just four games, at least two fewer than everyone else in the league and four fewer than tomorrow’s opponents.

Wednesfield have already got eight Division One games under their belt this season and head into this fixture after their best result of the campaign to date.

They put five past Shawbury United last week for their second win of the season, having also beaten Nuneaton Griff on home soil.

Their other home games have yielded defeats to Stapenhill and Wolves Sporting, and a goalless draw with Coventry Copsewood.

It’ll also be the first game this season that Hinckley have played on a grass pitch, with a host of home games so far and a trip to Dudley Town, who also play on a 3G surface.

Wednesfield play at the Cottage Ground, Amos Lane, WV11 1ND.
