Hinckley AFC could equal a club record winning run for the second time this season if they can beat Holwell Sports on Saturday.
AFC have won eight in a row since drawing with Graham Street Prims at the end of November in a run that has seen them move to the top of the United Counties Division One table.
The club record is nine – originally set back in 2015/16 and then matched earlier this season, before Radford brought it to an end at Selhurst Street.
They sit six points clear of Kimberley Miners Welfare, who have two games in hand with only 29 played so far. Belper United (30 games played) and Radford (31 played) are a point further back.
Holwell, meanwhile, sit 18th with nine wins and three draws from their 30 games. They have lost all three games played in 2022, but only by the odd goal to Belper and Blackstones. They also beat Aylestone Park shortly before Christmas.
Harry Allcock leads the way with 16 goals while George Bosworth chipped in with 11.
Hinckley won the reverse fixture 4-0 back in October. Jeremie Agholor, Tom Weale and Lewis Padmore were all on the scoresheet as well as an own goal.
