Hinckley AFC face their third county derby in six United Counties League Division One matches when they visit Birstall United tomorrow.
AFC have already faced local rivals Saffron Dynamo and Lutterworth Athletic this season, sharing the spoils with both.
Now they’ll hope to win a Leicestershire derby for the first time this campaign with the trip to Meadow Lane.
And they’ll target a third win on the bounce when they do so, having just beaten Bourne Town and Dunkirk in consecutive games.
AFC could move into the play-off spots with a win, but that depends on other results. Birstall themselves are just one point behind Hinckley after also notching up three wins so far.
Birstall have played one game more than AFC and sit 11th after their first six games, beating Dunkirk, Holwell Sports and Borrowash Victoria. They have conceded the most goals of any side in the top half but have scored 14 too – Paul Pallett and Dominic Watts with three apiece so far.
They were beaten 5-2 at Gedling Miners Welfare on Saturday, having won one, drawn one and lost one of their three home matches.
Birstall play at Meadow Lane, Birstall, Leicestershire, LE4 4FN. Kick off is 7.45pm
