Hinckley AFC will travel to St Martins in the first round qualifying of this season’s Buildbase FA Vase.
The draw for the early rounds of the competition was released this afternoon, pitting AFC away to a fellow step six side.
St Martins ply their trade in the North West Counties Division One South. That’s the league that familiar opponents Stafford Town, Rocester and Brocton have just been moved into. They were 15th in that league when the season was curtailed last term.
The match will take place on Saturday 11th September.
Known as The Saints, they play in Oswestry, near the Welsh border in Shropshire, at Park Hall Stadium. They groundshare with Welsh Premier Division side The New Saints – who play a Europa Conference League match there next week against Northern Irish side Glentoran. The stadium also has a 3G artificial pitch.
The winners will pick up £525 from the FA’s prize fund, and progress to the second qualifying round. There, there’s a trip to the winners of the tie between Leicester Road and Cradley Town.
The losers will collect £175.
