Hinckley AFC will travel to league and local rivals Atherstone Town for a friendly later this month, with supporters allowed to attend.
It will be the first chance for fans to watch Courtney Belford’s side in action since early November, before the second national lockdown.
The match at Sheepy Road is on Saturday 22nd May and will kick off at 3pm. Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
Atherstone will also kindly be donating a share of the gate receipts in memory of Simon Blyth. The Memorial Trophy match in his name, and #Hinckley2Heather bike ride, will take place on Saturday 17th July.
The game will be the first meeting with our A5 rivals in more than two years, despite still being in the same league. Covid-19 restrictions mean we haven’t faced the Adders in either of the last two league campaigns before their curtailment.
We also have planned friendlies coming up against Lichfield City and Racing Club Warwick. However, these are scheduled before government restrictions are eased and will therefore be played behind-closed-doors.
