Hinckley AFC have completed the signing of winger Lewis Rankin from Coleshill Town.
The former Bedworth, Coventry United and Rugby Town man is described as a technically very good player and a regular goal threat.
He came through the academy at Coventry City before dropping into non-league upon his release from the Sky Blues, initially signing for Rugby.
From there, he featured in the Midland League Premier Division for the likes of Coventry Sphinx (11 goals in 31 games), Highgate (nine goals in 12 games) and Coventry United (13 in 36).
He has played most of his football at step five but has also featured at higher levels for Chasetown and Brackley Town among others.
Two seasons ago he scored 22 times for Rugby as they finished third in the United Counties League, earning him a move to Nuneaton Borough – from where he moved to Coleshill.
Manager Courtney Belford said: “He’s excellent on the ball and could play higher but he’s had a couple of seasons where he hasn’t played as much as he would like.
“He wants to play more regularly and get back enjoying is football which is what we can hopefully offer him at Hinckley.”
Welcome to the club, Lewis!
