Local charity Living Without Abuse are inviting Hinckley AFC supporters and all local football fans who are keen runners to enter this year’s Loughborough Half Marathon.
Living Without Abuse, or LWA, is a charity from North West Leicestershire that helps men, women and children who are victims of domestic abuse across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
As part of their fundraising campaigns, they are organising the Loughborough Half Marathon and are inviting local football fans who are keen runners to enter this year, taking place on Sunday 29th March.
The entry fee of £26 helps raise funds for LWA, and there is also an under 16s fun run on the day of the Half Marathon to ensure fun for all the family. More information can be found on the LWA website, at http://www.lwa.org.uk/events/loughborough-half.asp.
LWA believes that all people have the right to live safely and without fear of violence and abuse. They provide support to anyone experiencing or fearing violence or abuse from a partner, ex-partner or family member.
They are committed to raising awareness of domestic abuse, working towards its prevention and eradication, and assisting those affected by this crime to determine their own lives.
If you wish to speak to them, head to their website http://www.lwa.org.uk/index.htm, visit their Facebook page or on Twitter they’re @lwaevents.
