This year’s #Hinckley2Heather annual bike ride will take place on Saturday 4th July 2020.
The ride will be the fourth annual cycle ride, which started in 2017 in memory of Simon Blyth and took on an even more poignant role last summer after the passing of Ray Baggott.
And having raised more than £1000 in 2019, this year it’s time for round four with Prostate Cancer UK, supported by former AFC goalkeeper Jack Hartopp’s London to Amsterdam challenge, and Hope Against Cancer this year’s chosen charities.
Entry is £15 per person, which includes admission to the match and a drink upon arrival at St John’s Park. All riders must be over 18 and must wear a helmet.
Ray’s daughter Michelle and her husband Jamie will be joining the supporters for this year’s ride too, which will start at The Milestone pub in Hinckley at midday.
It will then ride through Dadlington, Shenton and Bosworth Water Park before arriving at The Rising Sun in Shackerstone for the first break around nine miles in.
The remaining four miles to Heather are uphill, but a drink will be awaiting the riders upon arrival at St John’s Park.
Karen Brookes and our friends at Heather will also be putting on a raffle at the game, with proceeds split between the two charities.
