Just one place and one point separates Hinckley AFC and Rocester as the two go head-to-head at the Welfare Ground tomorrow.
Sitting seventh and eighth respectively, AFC will be looking to extend the gap between the sides with a win over the Romans, who themselves could leapfrog their hosts if they take all three points back to Staffordshire.
There is still a six-point gap to the top six after AFC’s defeat on Tuesday, while Rocester’s win over Lichfield in midweek edged them closer to the chasing pack themselves.
Hinckley do have three games in hand over Rocester, who have won ten and lost ten of their 25 games so far.
That’s also been reflected in their last six – two wins, two draws and two defeats as they, like Hinckley, strive for consistency.
Jordan Dodd has been their biggest threat in front of goal again, netting 18 times already this season, while Liam Robinson and Elisio Francisco are approaching double figures each.
This will be the third time the sides have met this season – with AFC taking the lead but falling to defeat both times in consecutive weeks back in September.
And to stay in the top seven, Hinckley will be hoping for a different outcome this time around.
