Courtney Belford has added UEFA B licensed coach Ross Innes to his Hinckley AFC staff as the club’s new assistant manager.
Innes is a former Leicester City academy coach, who worked with the likes of Harvey Barnes and Hamza Choudhury in their development into Premier League footballers, and also lists the Birmingham City academy on his CV.
He worked with Belford at Nuneaton Griff, and was on the coaching staff at Atherstone Town earlier this season before leaving when Ivor Green resigned as manager.
He will join Gavin Brown and Steve Johnson on the backroom team and be involved for the first time when AFC welcome Rocester to the Welfare Ground on Saturday.
Belford said: “Ross is someone I know and trust. I’ve worked with him before and I’m a massive fan of his.
“I tried to get him in at the start of the season, but he’d already agreed to join Atherstone. He brings something different, he’s experienced and highly qualified.
“We want people who can see things differently to Gav or I and Ross is that man. We’re really pleased to have him.”
Welcome to the club, Ross!
