Manager Courtney Belford has added Mark Williams and Michael Wright to his Hinckley AFC squad for 2019-20.
Former Nuneaton Griff and Atherstone man Williams spent a season with AFC three years ago, and made 39 appearances during the club’s most successful campaign to date.
Having arrived as a former Griff captain, who led them to a third placed finish and an FA Vase fifth round the season before, he was part of the Hinckley squad that finished second in the league, reached the fifth round of the FA Vase and the final of the League Cup.
He moved to Atherstone after leaving Hinckley and was part of their squad that finished third in 2017-18, before another successful season with Heather St John’s last term in which he lifted the Division One title.
A man with vast experience of the league, he can play in midfield or defence and knows what it takes to be successful in Division One.
Meanwhile pacy former Tamworth and Heather striker Wright also links up with the squad, joining from Paget Rangers.
The lively forward netted twice in the Simon Blyth Memorial Trophy match, having scored six goals in 14 Division One starts last season and 23 in 29 the season before for Heather, Littleton and Pershore Town.
Welcome back, Mark, and welcome to the club, Michael!
