Hinckley AFC travel to Lichfield City this afternoon for their final away game of 2018-19.
On a warm and sunny Easter weekend, much like the one on the opening day of the season at Stapenhill back in August, AFC head to Staffordshire looking to end their away campaign on a high.
But AFC’s young guns face a tough test against a Lichfield side who have been free-scoring this season, having scored more than 100 goals this term.
Only Heather St John’s and Racing Club Warwick have netted more times than Lichfield, who sit fourth in the league and could guarantee an FA Cup spot if results go their way this afternoon.
James Taylor is their leading scorer but they have five players who have scored ten times or more – an impressive team effort.
They won the reverse fixture at the Welfare Ground back in October despite Hinckley taking an early lead – and John Ramshaw’s side will be keen to make up for that defeat with a better display this afternoon.
Still missing Liam Cross and Jean Dakouri through injury on Saturday, eight members of the Under 18s side featured against Paget as Ramshaw continues to blood the young players.
Lichfield play at the City Ground, known for sponsorship purposes as the McDonald’s Community Stadium, Brownsfield Road, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 6AY.
