Striker Grant Ryan has left Hinckley AFC to jump up two leagues and join Evo-Stik side Stamford.
The forward scored ten goals in ten games for AFC at the start of this season, including four in one match against Heath Hayes.
But he now joins the Evo-Stik Division One East Daniels in stepping up two levels to rejoin a league in which he has played much of his career.
Manager James Jepson said: “Stamford put a seven day approach in for him last week, but Grant decided to stay. They came in for him again, which they’re entitled to as there was still time on the approach, and made him another offer which he’s taken.
“We’re disappointed, but we won’t stand in his way because both Grant and Stamford did things in the right way and both were honest throughout.
“As much as we wanted him to stay, we wish him all the best. He’s played at that level for a number of years now and hopefully he does well for Stamford.”
All the best, Grant!
